- POMONA I The •Stockton State College Center fop Environmental Research will begin a series of short courses orv^ the Culture, Crafts) and History of South Jersey beginning Thursday. Oft. 1-, on the Stockton campus. The first course, “The New Jersey Pine Barrens,” will study the history, people, geology, and legends of South Jersey's Pinelands.

The classes will be taught by Ted Gordon, longtime resident’, naturalist, and historian pf the Pine Barrens, and will include sliced illustrated lectures and discussions, as well as field excursions, and a canoe/trip on the scenic Oswego River. CLASSES WILL BE held 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.tn. Tuesdays and Thursdays
