CAPE MAY PT - Cape May Bird pbservatofy wjll boat the NJ Audubon Society’s 36th annual Cape May Nature Weekend, Friday, Oct. 2, through . Sunday. Oct. 4. The program will , appeal to a diversity ol wildlife interests, and teature , fieldft-i.ps, workshops, slide presenta-* lions and walks. Headquarters will be the Golden Eagle In^ on the beachfcont of Cape May. Birding and botany fieldtrips, an Intracoastal Waterway boat trip; beach, salt marsh, and evening sky walks; field identification workshops; and butterfly tagging and hawk banding demonstrations are among the events. . New features include two pelagic trips to intercept jaegefs, shearwaters,; phalaropes. other seabirds and whales 50 miles off Cape May, and a night watch for migratory owls. Evening presentations with slides will be given by nationalIy>known artist Richard Ellis, "Reflections of a Whale painter," 'and
