Emergency Wing Open SOMERS POINT - Fourteen months after breaking ground for con struction of new and larger emergency facilities, Shore Memorial Hospital executives and state afyd local offteials gathered to witness the official ribboncutting which was performed by Nancy (Mrs. William J.) Hughes, wife of the congressman who was .instrumental in securing federal financing to com-

plete the projeet.

James Gouryeb, state director, Farmer’s Home Administration of the United States Department of Agriculture, also attended the ribbon cutting. Public contributions for the new emergency wing totaled more than a million dollars while the Farmer’s Home Administration, through tyie efforts of Congressman Hugh&j granted the hospital a low interest loan of $1.2 milfon to help finance the const|uc t i ort .
