COURT HOUSE - A new heart clinic designed to serve the needs of county residents is due to open in November, it was announced today by Dr. Suketu Nanavati. Dr. Nanavati, a Board Certified Cardiologist presently practicing at Jersey Cape Medical Center and BurdetteTomlin Memorial Hospital, is the Director of the new Cape May Heart Clinic under construction on Village dr. and Dennisville rd.

The $200,000 facility will bring the latest heart technology to this county for the first time. Contained in the new facility will be Stress test machines, Echocardiogram, Holier Momtor, Pacemaker checkup system, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. THE STRESS TEST machine is designed to detect narrowing blood vessels of the heart in its early stage and pfovide accurate diagnosis. The Echocardiogram Uses

sound waves to determine the size and function of the heart without any trauma to the patient. Before this facility was available, a person would have to go to New York or Philadelphia for testing. The Holler Monitor is Useful in detecting; irregular heart beats. It is extremely use‘ful for older persons with dizziness and blackout spells. The Pacemaker checkup system can be used in patients with permanent pacemakers to evaluate

the functioning of the pacemaker. The machine can be used on telephone anywhere in the United States. Cardial rehabilitation will help the patient who has experienced a hear attack to return to normal life and activities. DR. NANAVATI CAME to thp United States 10 yers ago from Bombay. India, where he graduated from Bombay University with a degree in Medicine. Upon his arrival in New York, Dr. Nanavati studied in-

ternal medicine for three years at Coney Island Hospital, where he received certification in Internal Medicine Boards. He continued studying at Beth Israel Mddical Carter in Manhatan and received additional certification in Cardiology Boards. Dr. Nanavati is the first to introduce temporary Pacemaker and Swan Ganz Gather at at BurdetteTomlln. An opening ceremony will be held sometime in November. Dr. Nanavati

resides on Timberlea l>ane in Capo- May Court House With his wife and three children. His residence is only 30 seconds from hsopital and clinic so that he can attend any emergency that arises.
