COURT HOUSE - Freeholder Gerald M. Thompson announced today that the WIC program will be operating in Cape May County on October B, 1981. The program is being provided via a contractual agreement through the auspices of the < Cumberland County Board of Health. Freeholder Thornton expressed his pleasure that his service will be made available to county citizens without charge to the county, as it will be subsidized entirely through federal funding

In Cape May. County women and children who are interested in the program will .be screened through the Cape May County Health Department's Child Health Conference Persons who are eligible must have a nutritional need for the program such as> anemia, underweight, multiple pregnanefes. or poor diet. In addition, there mi&t be an ccoriomic need and the person must live in the service area of the program For further informaliqn regarding the WIC Program. please call 691-1155.
