She \von the semi-finals in the Chamber of Commerce's Independence Day celebration and went on to Veteran’s Stadium in Philadelphia to win the national title. Waterfowl Beware! TRENTON — The major waterfowl season got underway last weekend. The season for Canada Goose, Snow Goose, ducks (in the north zone), and snipe opened on Friday. On Saturday, the season for woodcock (north zone)
began.
The sea duck season opened yesterday, and the first Brant season in New Jersey in more than nine years will opeh Oct. 24.

OCEAN CITY - The Fenton Carey Half Marathon and a Women’s 5,000-meter Boardwalk Run will be staged by the Department of Recreation Saturday, Nov. 14, with the Music Pier, Boai'dwalk and Moorlyn Terr., as starting
point.
Pre-registration closes Nov. 6. Post-registration and pre-race check-in for all registrants begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Music Pier. THE WOMEN’S RUN will begin at 9:30 a m. and takes place completely on Uie Boardwalk. A ‘‘Piece of the Walk" will be awarded to first five finishers. Olympic style medals will also be awarded to the first three fitiishers in age groups ranging from 14 and
under to 50 and over. The Half Marathon, withmen's and women's divisions, will begin at 10:30 a.m., over a course covering Ocean City streets and the boardwalk SPECIAL "PIECE of the Walk" awards will be made to the first 10 male finishers and'first five female finishers Special team awards are planned
