Muziani: Inheritance Tax Unfair

WILDWOOD - First District Republican Assembly candidate Guy F. Muziani, has announced that he plans to introduce a bill in the New Jersey Assembly to eliminate the state inheritance taxes for husbands and wives. \ Mirziani, Mayor of Wildwood and an accountant by profession, said that the inheritance taxes currently paid by the surviving spouse of a deceased husband or wife are confiscatory and often place

an undue hardship on the survivor. IN.fm MUZIANI said, the legislature increased the taxable deduction for a husband or wife from $5,000 to $15,000. Now is the time, the Assembly Hopeful said, to eliminate totally any tax that must be paid by a husband or wife upon the death of the other. .’’Husbands and wives spiend their entire adult life supporting each other and their families through hard work and saving^ These

men and women pay federal and state income taxes on their earnings, and then when one or both of them pass away, their survivors must’once again pay an inheritance tax. That is extremely unfair," Muziani said. If Florida Nevada aijfii others can manage their governments 'without relying on the bereavement of deceased person, then New Jersey certainly ought to try," Muziani said.
