Kesler was honored by the Board of Commissioners for his service ahd contribution to the Board of Education in past years. Kesler recently resigned from the board prior to moving to Florida. The resolution honoring Kesler also noted his many other contributions to the city, including service as a special police officer, assistant chief of the Ambulance Corps and a member of the city’s Recreation Committee. “George Kesler is one of those persons who always put service to the community above himself,” Commissioner William Kehrter said. "Sea Isle City’s loss of George Kesler is Florida’s gain."
