.Bids Due On Various Projects AVALON Birough Council will take action on an ordinance authorizing the sale of lots 48:02 and 48:03 in block 17:04 during the Thursday night meeting. The lots are less than minimum size /must by law offered first to the owners of adjacent properly - A resolution authorizing preparation of bid. Specifications for a four- - wheel dfive frontend loat/er, will also be acted upon. Dave Carrick of the Public Works Dept, feels the vehicle will reduce the numbr of total vehicles needed Iti the department. .All together, a reduction of six vehicles is anticipated. An auction at a later date will be held to sell some vehicles which will not be needed. POLICE CHIEF Joseph Foley, also wishes to reduce the stock of vehicles in his department and a resolution authorizing specifications, and advertisements for bids for police cars will be considered. The Borough would like to trade in cars on purchase of new vehicles. The 12th St. recreation field is being renovated and bids are being received for this work. There will be a Tot Lot with new equipment, hockey court, baseball and soccer field with proper drainage, ground cover, etc. Monies for this were designated at the end of last ydar and a study has gone into the needs, engineering and design of this area. Also, under study, by the council are rules and regulations governing Sailcraft and longterm stabelization. Borough employees are already at work on shortterm dune stabelization projects.
Share Funds TRENTON - Mayor Guy Muziani of Wildwood, Assembly candidate, and Assemblyman James R. Hurlqy, Senate candidate, were ,among the 69 who shared in $69,500 distributed to legislative candidates this yew by the N.J. Organization Tor -1» Better State.
