-TED HAS no mean talent as a photographer, and for * years has been taking color photographs of the Seniore at their happiest and most attractive moments, having them developed at her own expense and later giving them to her models as a surprise. She has given the recipients great pleasure over the years and added yet another measure of joy at being a member of the group. Gracine made her presentation with a gracious speech expressing Uie thanks and feelings of the entire gathering.

who were worried that their hockey field might be taken for some other purpose. 'r Both women asked Council to give the matter gravfe consideration because the spot presently provides a healthy outlet for boys in their teen years. APPROXIMATELY 25 ' youths gather there nightly from 7-9 p.m. for hockey practice under the supervision of DaVe Haberle, the youth-oriented recreation director. The situation came to Betty’s attention when her gCindson told her about rumours he'd heard that the field was to be used for another purpose. He used his noodle when he asked Betty for help — She immediately called vacationing Mayor Armalcost in Florida and Councilwoman Grace Keep for advice, then showed up at Boro Council with.cogent reasoris for both the retention of and‘repairs to the field. Her reasoning was sound and the Council impressed. Betty’s'prompt action is to be commended because her husband, Bill, was in the hospital again for an in-, fection which followed recent surgery. We talked to Betty today;*$1)6 brought Bill home on Friday and he’s do beautifully.

STONE HARBOR - The Women’s Civic club is planning another trip to Pleasantville Shore Mall and then to Rams Head Inn for lunch Thursday, Nov. 19. Club president Mrs. Dotty Stump said the group will form car pools in front of her house at 371 95th st., at 10 a.m. Husbands are
invited. The lunch will be a dtubch treat. Members 4 may bring* guests. ” Every one must have a reservation. For reservations call Mrs. Stump at 368-2848 by Monday, Nov. 16. If there is enough .interest in the November outing another will be planned for December.

STONE HARBOR - At the recent business meeting of the borough's Seniors president Harry Strohmetz announced plans were bejng made to hold the annual Halbween party Saturday R. the American Legion Hall, 117th St. and Second Ave. Chairman is Marguerite Klotzbucher. All members attending should come in,
hobo costumes Strohmetz, an accomplished guitar player, will be assisted by Ray deLaurentis and Paul Scarlett in furnishing live music. Games and door prizes will be available. A costume contest will start at 8 p.m. with a grand march. Reservations can be made by calling Jean - Westhoff, 368-6961.
