Knights Savor Fall In Poconos dOLDEN OCTOBER, was truly golden when StellaMaris K of C Council sojourned the Femwood for five days. This year's trip was especially delightful, with the foliage at its most colorful and the scenery around Delaware Water Grip a sight to behold. Forty-five eagc* souls assembled at the Erma headquarters for coffee and • doughnuts before boarding the bus at 8:30, arriving at Femwood at 1 p.m. in spectacular sunshine, which never ceased for our entire visit. Ed Scheffler was an oxhuberant MC aboard the Grey Line, with Wilbert, our every faithful driver. (Ed must really scour the outar banks for his disguises and prizes.) Since we wouldn’t bq served lunch on arrival, Bid Campbell, our trip planner, asked Heten Glesson if she could get together something to sustain us. and with the helping hands of her Jackie, Florence and Chick Parker, Mickey and Joe Carlin, Mine and Jim McMenamin, and Fran and Ed Scheffler, she came forth with some tasty sandwiches. There were devoured at 10 A M. along with some equally tasty beverages. TUE CAMPBELLES AND Schefflers rated honeymoon cottages, complete with jacuzzi, king-size bed, real fireplace, etc. Wow! When Harry (The Horse) Helverson encountered plumbing problems, he and Edith got one too. Leave it to Harry! One day we had a picnic, getting our Italian fare from a nearby gin mill, and there’s Harry, strutting around in a chef's outfit. A couple of days some .of the guys (and a gal) played golft for free nearby. The bus to Stroudsberg was a ’’real trip. ’’ A goodly group tootak a shopping tour and returned with some Hess’s Specials, etc. Mary DAvis and Sally Lynch could enlighten you on that bus service! There were the usual fun-for-all activities, with a really exceptional show.oflq evening. Guys and gals from Femwood presented ‘Wound The World—Broadway Style,” and they’re a talented troupe of entertainers. The trip home was hilarioils as usual (how come Ed always gets a , hole in his bucket?). I’m looking forward already to next year. This gang believes “Eat, Drink and Be Merry," and life can be beautiful! For Shoppers

Do you want q Mayor who cares about your taxes and proves it by pushing for a new municipal garage that will cost less than any of the other prior proposals?
