SEA ISLE CITY - , Recycling will get underwav here Nov. 9, according to Commissioner William Kehner, "Recycling will be manditory in Cape May County by lfl63y” he'explained in a news release, "but we will start our trial program on Nov. 9." * "During the past year I have had many requests from citizens to start such a program in Sea Isle City, and I am happy to say wfe are getting the program underway", he continued. RESIDENTS are being asked to separate their recyclable materials — glass, newspaper and aluminium. These will be collected separately from regular trash starting Nov. 9. Residents should save recyclable items for the separate collections. "Collections of these
recyclable materials will be made from residents of first to 53rd St. on the second and fourth Mondays, and from 54th St. Soutjito Townsends Inlet, collections will be made on the second and third Tuesdays. "IT MAY BE a Wt difficult at first, l?ut I'm sure -all of our' citizens will cooperate in this most important program"., the
commissioner said. "This program will not • only help save our valuable natural resources, and save City tax dollars by not having to pay to have these recyclable materials taken to the dump," Kehner said. CARA Seeks Volunteers
COURT HOUSE —the Coalition Against Rape and Abuse (CARA) is looking for volunteer^ to help it provide emergency counseling services to rape victims in the county. In cooperation with the Atlantic County Women’s Center’s satellite office here, CARA has provided
counseling and emotional support to more than two dozen rape victims over the past year. The group is seeking persons interested in being trained to- provide emergency assistance to rape victims. Call 522-6489 for more information.
