TOO BAD as much time wasn't spent during the rfl' eftnt campaign discussing important local issues as was spent putting up and knocking down signs. Tom Clydesdalels young campaigh manager, local attorney Eric GaVrr. hit a nail on the head when he described to thdse gathered at the local Republican rally Oct. 31 what it takes to be a campaign manager. "I learned to be a campaign manager you haye to have a post hole diggw- and a shovel." he said, adding he’s learned everything about signs including how to "build them, paint them, and erect them.”

SPEAKING OF Mr. Gaver, his name is one of#, several that have been floating about political circles as a possible candidate to challenge township committman Jack Moran in next June's primary. Moran, whose Committee seat is up for grabs next year, may have.a difficult time getting the Republican nomination. The committeeman this year refused to support the local organisation's candidate, Tom Clydesdale, and instead threw his support behind Independent

Republican James Walker. THE iXHTAL Taxpayers Assn, is beginning m draw a variety of people'to their

meetings.

Last week those in attendance included Regional School Supt. Ephraim Keller, Regional Board of Education members Arlene MacDonald and Ruth Rillmeyer and bar Owners Mel Steele and

Robert Conroy Jr.

OPEN HOUSE will be held at both Regional High School and the Teitelman School during American Education Wfek, NoV. 15 to '21-This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in their schools to see firsthand how they

MARK YOUR calendar fofTl p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. That’s the final Social Night of the season, sponsored by the Villas Civic. Club at U 16 Millman Center. Agnes Danks, who handles PR for the club, on behalf of the Social Night Committee, thanks everyone who participates in these popular events.

WHEN SOMEONE unselfishly devotes years of service to his community, it’s always rewarding to see them in someway publicly recognized. That’s what took place last week when the County Freeholders formerly passed a resolution commending Villas resident James Augustine for his many years of civic service to Lower Township.
