Bikeway A Joint Project

SWAINTON - With the county planning Board and the county Municipal Utilities Authority cooperating, a hikeway Will bc~Created along the north shoulder of Sunset Blvd. in Lower .Township. The.MUA will be digging a trench along the shoulder to lay its

interceptor pipe. ‘‘This is a perfect way for the MUA to work in concert with another public agency in a joint effort — installing our pipe and creating a recreational facility at the same time.'' said George Marinakis, MUA executive director.

SWAINTON - The County Municipal Utilities Authority has hired engineer Nabil K. Hanna, who has 10 years of professional engineering experience A graduate of Villahova Universify. Hanna also attended Ain Shams University irrCairo, Egypt. He has worked on wastewater treatment plants in Bridgeton. Atlantic County. Camden County, and Hudson County.

In a related action, the Authority promoted engineer Charles Norkis to the position of chief engineer, which was vacated more than a year ago when George Marinakis was named ex-' ecujive director.

MARINAKIS ALSO announces in a news release that the geo-technical engineering investigation in the Seven Mile Beach/Wildwood and Wildwood/Ixrwer regions is being conducted by''Corfverse Ward Davis and Dixon. Twelve crews are working at the ocean outfall sites preparing geotechnical studies need- > ed before the fina) design of the wastewater treatment systeprs for both regions. The MUA has also awarded a contract to Arthur Young and Co. to study its user charge system-. Under the contract. not to exceed $21,300, the company will Review the Authority's financial management system and make recommendations to insure compliance with the requirement and equitable user charges.

weekly harvest limit based upon the harvest reports which are collected and tabulated in January and again in March? , Licensees ah reminded that the owner of two or more vessels licensed for the taking of sea clams may not harvest an entire weekly quota using only one of the vessels.
