' Volunteer firemen ... ambulance drivers ... rescue Squad members. Thcfs^ volunteers ace on call every day. They give their time to save lives and property, They give their time to .learn new methods of firefighting and rescue operations. They take time from their^ives and families to help their fellowmen. Yet, three same volunteers sometimes receive very little support from their communities. They have to beg money to get new equipment — equipment that might save a life. They go out in all kinds of weather to drum up support and often have doors slammed in their face when they agk for a contribution.
