JUNIOR .MISS objectives are (orecognize and encourage excellence !in< . youth and td, provide a means by, which young people can expresrt their opinions and ambitions. The program gives high, school senior girls a chance for college education. Locally, the top award is a $500 scholarship donated by the Cape May Kiwanis Club. Other awards include a $300 scholarship from Guar- ' antec Bank, $200 from Ocean City, and a $150 scholarship by Citizens United Bank. This year for the second Hme a $150 scholarship donated by Xi ^BctaSPi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will be giver! for the most outstanding talent. AVALON — At the recent work session of the Borough Council, Administrator Andrew Bednarek informed the Council that Ron Judyski, head of the COunty Traffic Safety' Program, commepded Chief Joseph Foley and hi; police for outstanding par ticipation and upholding of' traffic safety. Chief.Foley reported that he has been meeting with senior citizens in the borough to enroll them in the Seniors Alone Program *run by the department In this program the seniors enroll their name^and
