CAPE MAV - The'Cape May County Savings and Loan Association has started construction of a new branch office near the intersection of Lafayette and Jackson Sts. here. The county's largest savings and loan association plans to move into the new branch in April. The new building Will have twice the banking area of the current Washington St. Mall loea tion, along with drive-in service windows and onsite customer parking.

County S&L has also completed plans for a new headquarters location in Court House. The new headquarters complex will include additional rental space for professional offices. Taking part in ceremonies marking start on Cape May building were George James, chairman of the Harold Hoop, manager. Cape May Branch; Frank Strohm, president; Edward Purdy, builder, and Herb Hornsby, vice president.

Giannattasio In New Post

COURT HOUS1J — Local resident Joseph Giannattasio, a graduate of MiddleTownship High School, has been appointed to the Advisory Health Council of the City of Orange. Giannattasio will serve a three-year term. The duties of the Health Council are to make recommendations concerning the opera-

tion and administration of the Health Department, study the health needs of the city, and make annual reports. Giannattasio who has been residing in Orange for the past two years, was appointed loan and grant advisor in August, and elected Domooratic district leader in May.

CG Center Head Job

CAPE MAY — The Coast Guard Training Center here, moving with the times, is modifying its heads (sanitary facilities, not craniums). The center is seeking bids to convert the lavatories in Buildings 251 and 252 to new male and female heads to accommodate the growing number of women Coast Guard recruits'' ■ Estimated cost of the project is 125.000 to (100.000. Opening time for bids is 2 p.m. Dec. 23. Pre-bid conference will be 1:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Contracting Office, Administration Buildng 262.
