CAPE MAY - Donna Norbury of Cape May Court House and a Middle. Township High school senior was selected as Cape May County’s Junior Miss Saturday night here before an audience of nearly 1,000 In convention hall. Miss Norbury received a *500 scholarship provided by the Cape May KiwBnis Gub as well as a trophy > donated by the Sol-Needles , Agency of Cape May. She is \ how eligible to compete in the state finals and if successful in Cherry Hill, will compete in the qiational finals.in Mobile next May. SHE WAS ALSO the receipient of the Junior Miss Creative and Performing Arts Award, a $150 scholarship presented by the Xi Beta Pi chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorori-
ty.
First runner-up was Cathy Carr# of Wildwood Crest, a senihr at Wilflwood I High School .'She received a *300 scholarship 'awajd from Guarantee BAnk and a trophy from thipellas Agency of Cape May. Miss Carr was also the recipient of the Junior Miss'jSpirit Award, the selection made by the contestants. SECOND RUNNEK-IT was Mary Anne Randour of Cape May, a senior a‘ Lower Cape May Regional High School, and the recipient of a *200 scholarship donated by Ocean City and a trophy by National . Associates of Cape May. Thii-d runner-up was Heidi Diener of Marmora, a senior at Ocean City High School, she received a *150 scholarship from Citizens United Bank and a trophy from Kellie News Agency,
of Cape May.
REPRESENTATIVES from the New Jersey State Junior^ Miss Pageant organization were in attendance and commented that Cape May County’s pageant continues to rank among the best of the 21 county pageants in the state. They were pleased with the high caliber of contestants as well tfs the support from the residents of CapB May County, according to Robert Smellier, pageant Chairman here. He credited the success
of the program tb the dedication and enthusiasm of the Junior Miss Pagent Committee which includes M\tzi Blomkvest, Rose Dickinson, Ted Dickinson, Stina Heminway, Debbie Schellinger, Sherri Etzler, Suzanne Smeltzer and this year’s coordinator and vice chairman, TerrwRrown. Brian Conove?)served as master of ceremonies and was joined by former Junior 'Miss winners Mary Matthews and the outgoing 1981 Cape May County , Junior Miss, Sandy Boyt.
