After beating Delran in the last game of the season, the Middle Twp. Panthers wound up with a 5-4 record and. finished 5th in the CAL. But it looks better for next year with most of the starters returning. Tommy Giborski finished 4th in the scoring race with a total of 60 points scored on 10 touchdowns. THE BASKETBALL TEAM has been practicing regularly and now has been beefed up with the addition of the football players. Outstanding veterans and new prospects are Frank Brown, Dawson Spaulding, Dave Smith, Rkh Rhinesmith, Tommy GDiorskl and Joe De Giacomo^ The Middle Twp. Recreation Dept. Volleyball League has started with games being played on Monday and Wednesday nights. The soccer team of Middle Twp. got farther in the state tournament than ever before, losing in-the final of the South Jersey championship. Congyatulations to Coach Bill Lucas and his assistant Phil Heek for their success. Coach Bill Penman will he taking his girls’ basketball team on a trip to Puerto Rico.
