Sewer Update Started
STONE HARBOR ~ Councilrrlan Harry Strohmetz announced the recohatruction of sanitary sewers in parts of the borough has been started and will continue, weather permitting, until all the necessary areas are edmplcfed . Thelfnprovements to the sewer collection system will include new collection Jines, valves and fittings, as well as some new manholes as specified by borough Engineer 'Al Herman. 1 / IN ANNOUNCING the project Strohmetz stated the borough wished to advise all residcrits living in the specified arfeas when the work would be started in -order to avoid as much inconvenience and confusion to these residents as possible. % The first area to have the. main sewer lino- and lalerials replaced will be on 86th st. from Third ave. westerly to the bridge. On
ly one side of the street will be worked on at a time, allowing traffic to flow on the other side of the street. As eqch side is completed gravd will be used to fill the excavations until the street will be repaved. THE SECOND area will be 92nd st. from Third aye. lo Second ave. Then construction will move, on Third ave. to 9lst st. and easterly on 9lst st. to Second ave. The third location will be on Cqhnthian Dr. from 99th st. to Charles PI. Th4 creWs will then move on to T Sunsct Dr. from 99th st. to I03rd St. IT IS ANTICIPATED that these four areas wijl be completed by the,first of the year providing (here are no unforeseen problems. Upon the completion of these four areas another four-week schedule will be announced. The. Sheer Bros. Construction Co. of Salem is
performing the reconstruction of the sewer lines and their crews will be advising the residents in each area
