THE ZONING BOARD of Adjustment is supposed to hear a variance request this coming Tues., Jan. 5, that if approved will permit the Wildwood Water Utility to sink a recharge well, possibly with a standpipe to be constructed in the future, in Diamond Beach. The well is needed if services are to be available for all development that is proposed to take place in the area over the next several
years.
But Township land use official Feme Detwiler said late'last week that the variance request may be tabled once again if negotiations between the township and the Wildwood Utility are not completed by the 5th. The contract arrangements that are needed to provide assurances to both parties have been described by Zoning Bd. chairman Bob Smeltzer on numerous occasions as "critical.” TOWNSHIP PLANNER Joe Zahora said recently that no matter how you look at it, you can’t compare the communities of Woodbury wd Lower Township when you talk about recycling. The township is still trying to decide whether to join the MUA’s countywi-l. recycling program or set out on their own.
