AVALON — Recreation director Dave Haberle announced an 8-7 win by the local hockey i team over their rival. Middle Township,- in the local’s first game, played in Community Hall here. At the end of the first period the score was tied at 2-2, and at the end of the se-

cond period had moved tb 8-5. Team scorers were Paul Buchanan with 2, Tony Tozier, Greg Lawson, Fabian Kulynych, Bob Ferguson, Jim Versage and Kim Kowalski with one each. The Avalon team hopes to have another match in a week or two.

Slim nasties Class Starts

WILDWOOD - The Recreation Department announces that registration is noy open for their Women’s Slimnastics Class. This is a 10-week program of organized exercises and activities to trim down after the holidays.

Classes started Jan. 12 .and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday nights for 10 weeks. All who are interested are asked to register at the Recreation Center at 243 E. Rio Grande Ave., or call 522-5837
