Slams GOP Program Ar Unfair

' James lannone, chairman of fhe County Democratic Organization, ’ this t week charged the Republicans in 'Washington, with “turning their backs qn those who can least afford it." As part of a national Democratic effort termed “Fairness Day" lannone urged people to notice theieffecls of the Reagan .Administration's policies on the people of our state. Charging that for fairness, Ronald Reagan should get an "F’ from the majority of Americans, lannone cncoulaged the people of the Coiinty to pay attention to what will happen in Trenton over the next four years. "IT IS IRONIC that ort the anniversary of Rohald Regan's taking office and • promising that his "Supply Side" economy will iml prove the lot of most Americans, we in New l Jersey have just inaugurated a governor who was elected because of

many of those samp promises." "Where is the fairness," lannone questioned, "in policies thqt take care of oil royalty owners at the exp0hse of the school children and low income fafhilies, when large corporations are subsidized but programs creating jobs are eliminated?" THE COUNTY Democratic leader noted that unemployment is rising, companies are laying people off and people who have never before taken advantage of public assistance are now eating at free’ meals programs just to keep aliw. which benefit the .wealthy don't address.thc problems df the poor. WE MUST realize that problenls are not isolated, they are interrelated," lannone remarked. "In New Jersey we cannot afford to let Governor Kean make the same mistakes. “Members of the Reagan's cabinet have already admitted that the true "trickle-down effect of the budget cuts on a national level will be increased local taxes.
