District Commissioner. George Neidig appointed his committee chairmen for 1982. They are: .Jack O'Neal of Del Haven, advancements; Bernard Becker of Dennisville, Scout activities; Carole Hausman of Green Creek, Cub activities; Tom Dean of the Villas, camping; Clifford Patrick of North Cape May, finance; Ralph Runyan of Wildwood Crest, awards and recognitions, and James Dougherty of Rio Grande, membership. Vacancies were noted in Scout training. Cub training, and project sales as S ell as a need for more nit Commissioners. DISTRICT "Awards of Merit" were presented for 1981. This is the highest award which can be given to a volunteer scooter. Don Richter received this honor for his eight active years of leadership. Don is currently Scoutmaster of Troop 59 in RlOfGrande. Forrest Spriggs was also honored for his more than 30 years of Scouting, community, and church work. Forrest is currently Scoutmaster of Troop 84 at the

Awards were also presented to all major financial supporters. A special award of thanks was presented to Robert Fothergill of the Anchor Associates in Rio Grande for his continued support of the Baysea District for nearly 20 years.
