County’s Investing Paid Off < Competition Cuts Sewer Work in Half

N. CAPE MAY - Last month traffic on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry, closed for awhile by ice, decreased by 283 vehicles and 712 passengers from January 1981. ' Ferry traffic last month was 3,806 vehicles and 8,318 passengers compared to 4,089 vehicles and 9,030 passengers a year ago — a decrease of 6.92% for

The force mains.will connect the City of Cape May with the treatment plant si tie of Sunset Blvd., near Cape May Point. A total of 20,800 feet of pipe will be laid, including 11.000 feet of 20-inch pipe, 4,500 feet of 16-inch pipe. 3,000 feet of 8-ihch pipe, and 2,300 feet of 24dnch pipe.

Officer Luella Breddey of Upfci.er Township as employee of the month at the County Correctional Center in
Swainton.
Officer Breckley formerly Jived in Ocean City, and graduated from Ocean City High School. She has been a member of the Sheriff’s Department for five years, currently working on regular assignmentas a member of the 4-12 squad. Officer

Breckley lives in Palermo with her husband and five children. She is a past matron of the Order of Eastern Stair of N.J. and a njember of Local 59 of the Wildwood P.B. A, Sheriff Fox explained that Officer Breckley is the first employee to be selected under a program initiated Jan. 1. All officers and civilian employees at the Cfdrrectional Center are eligible to be selected each month as the outstanding employee. At the end of the year, a selectioh will be made from the group of monthly winners for outstanding employee of 1982. A plaque mounted certificate is awarded to winners.
