This euent always brings out the parents to bogie the • performances and to see how quickly and skillfully the youngsters are growing up, as well as stirring memories of the alumni who return to see friends and faculty. Broadway Star At SJRT

SQMERS POINT - When the curtain goes up on opening night of South Jersey Regional "Theatre's production of "Romantk Comedy’’.'tonight, March 17, the starring role will toe being played by Julia MacKenzid*. who had the role four weeks on Broadway opposite Tony Perkins. Ms. MacKenie^ assumed the role when the' original lead, Mia Farrow, had to drop out. "It’s not the first time we’ve had a Broadway actor on our .Stage, but it is the first time thfct the star is appearing in the same role with us,” states Paul Aik^nj SJRT’s executive director. •ROMANTIC COMEDY" which is by Bernard Slade, author of "Same Time Next Year", opens at the Somers Point Gateway Playhouse March 17 for a 15 performance run through April 3.
