Perennial champion Riffraff whipped virtually the san'ie team last year in the finals and after eclipsing game one, ljh-9, it appeared history might repeat itself after the more experienced club had taken the opening skirmish. In the semr-finals Roth’s surprised the talented and highly confident Whippoorwill Campground squad from Marmora in much the sartne manner as they disposed of Riffraff, matching them power for powef. Stick Farragher and Tom Swenk paced . Whippoorwill. Riffraff reached the final by holding of archrival Cape Island .Sailing Cruise, in another very close match.'* John Wilsey, Ernie Troiano and Tom Palmer excelled for Cape Island while Ted Ferrantc, Bob Jacksoh and' Shep Taylor ignited their team’s winning surge.

Coed V’ball

Guys and Dolls swept •their three-game match from Cape May Yacht Sales in the 1982 season lidlifter of the Coed Volleyball league. Margaret Hand and Rick Ferrantc were an unstoppable combo for the winners. Sue Fitz contribpted heavily in a losing effort. Needlers III led by Mary Ann Haflin papered the Off The Wall Gang two games to one. Tom Roth and Michelle Howell hustled their squad to their lone win and nearly the match.
