No one knows just how long those Bostons will’ stay once they've started, but it's a’good idea fo get . out there whenever you can once they've, started, because they tend to move around quite a bit They're good eating fish, and they're good salted top. bait The Cape May County . Dept of Public Affairs Ijas some good mackerel recipes, and wHI be glad to send them to you. Lou Rodta is going to conduct two fishing clinics on April 29 and May 1, along .with his son Lou Jr. arid Ralph Horton, publisher of the Penna N J. Angler magazine. The April 29th' show is going, to be at Riverfront theater.' in Philadelphia "from f to 6 pm. and the May 1st one > will .be al Downingtown Farmers Market from 10:30 a m to 9 p m They are going to feature bluefisty, weakfish.- and shark fishing here on the Jersey Cnpe. Lou does a tremendous job -of proV moling our fishing here. \ind far too often doesn't receive full credit, for the

job he does.

I AM SORRY to report that two of our outstanding party boats will not be soling .in 1982 Capt. Bob im-

posed ‘’by 'the . Office of Management and Budget. ' and was supposed to aid the U S. Coast Guard. We oppope this ukers fee for the

following reasons:

I. It will be deposited into a slush fund with no proVifions for the Coast Guard to

receive ft. ■ ',

2 It would cripple the commercial. arid irecreational fishing industry in

our area

3. It is not a fair tax. We. as fishermen, pay enough taxes rnow. and we need assistance, not added

"burden^

We hereby submit for review our solution Why not take tbe marine fuel taxes, and {tejated taxes, such as sales tax on fifihing equipment, and earmark it for U.S. Coast Guard use? This will eliminate any curtailing of Coast Guard ac-, tivities. ■ and. channel^ the revenues received' to a' useful purpose.
