Anti-grafitti Move by DOT TRENTON - The Dcpartment'of Transportation wi]l use a paint coating at four locations on the Garden State Parkway that should frustrate those “MidnigKt Michelangelos" who pajpt graffiti on walls and bridges. The urethane coating system provides a surface which will allow graffiti to be removed without timeconsilming use of harsh chemicals or sandblasting. Maintenance personnel can ..literally wipe away the defacement without damaging the coating, us : ing conventional solvents such qf mineral spirits, turpentine, alcohol and lacquer thinners. The tough coating has a 15*year life span.

The Jersey, Cape observance .begins with the First Annual Library Week Parade, I'p.m. Sunday, April 18 from the Murphy Mart parking lot. The line of march will proceed down Rt. 9 (Main St.) td Mechanic St and up to the library where there wiil.be ah open house complete with refreshments and doorprizes. THE NEXT event is 6:30 Monday evening, April 19 when local storyteller Shirlianhe Gunther will hold the

,‘ young folk spellbound with her tales. *

Greywolf will provide an evening of Indian legends, beginning 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. April 20 at the library And on Wednesday evening, April 21 at 6:30, the local Library Week obsfervahce will close out with a puppet ' performance of The Enchanted Library. Library director Thomas Leonard points out that while the special events will be ending, the many services and programs provided by the free public library continues.

John Bezpa, specialist in poultry* science. Cook College, and Charles A. Dupras, South Jersey area poultry agent, will conduct the seminar. Basic information on feeding chickens and laying hens, (he use of lights to stimulate production, disease control, and ( general housing recommendations will be offered. Par| of the program will also inolude grading and candling eggs and how to slaughter the process fneat birds. The course is free of charge and open to the .public. Plans New Boat* Pier VILLAS!— An Army permit to construct a 1,000-foot tipiber pier in Delaware Bay adjacent to Schellinger Ave. here has been asked by Stanley Leszczynski of Philadelphia. Plans call for a six-foot wide timber pier and con-, cerete walkway to provide a boat docking facility. The pier 1 will replace one which was largely destroyed by storms a few years ago. The site has been used for a boat rental business for many years.
