COURT HOUSE.- County 4-H Agent Betty Jean Jesimcosky has announced' that the seventh pnnual 4-H* Spring Garden Show will be staged in the Lockwood 4-H Youfh Cepter on Denijisville Road here, April 21, 22, and 23. Participating In the shdvt will be 4-H __members, their leaders.' school teachers with their ‘ classes and garden clubs from around the county. There will be 11 divisions in the show: Division'I — Flowering. Plants, such as geranium, impatiens, begonias, African violets v and many others. Division II — foliage plants, such as ferns,, Ivy, rubber plant, Philodepdron, Dumb Cane, etc. DIVISION III - Container Gardens, such as dish gardens, terrariums, bottle gardens and hanging gardens. Division IV — all varieties of cactus and other sUcculertts. Division V — forced bulbs, shrub and tree branches, crocus, daffodil, hyacinth, ■Amaryllis, and many others. Division VI will be fresh flower arrangements. Divi-. sion VII will be dried arrangements using materials from the fields and woods of the county, and Division VIII will be hanging-baskets. DIVISION IX WILL be specialty plants such as lettuce. on a windowsill, . spinach, tomato, chives, parsley, all things that can be grown indoors for curiousity as well as use on the table. Division X, Bedding Plants from seed, will consist of flowers and vegetables, apd Divisibn XI, Plant Propagation, will lx? a collection of plants grown from cuttings.
