Heal Aid Deadline The deadjine to apply for Home Energy Assistance ^benefits has been extended to April 30 • ' The Horae Energy Assistance Program, or A.P. deadline has been extended because an additional $4 2 million in federal funding has be^n awarded to the state to help low-income families pay their heating bills. To qualify for the program, an individual must have a monthly income of less than $450 a month. Maximum ^ monthly eligibility incomes range from $593 for a family of two. to$l,16$ fora family of* six. In addition‘'to paying heating tylls, Home Energy Assistance funds can be used to ‘pay for medicallynequired cooling and emergency repairs to furnaces and other heating units.
