Brochure Spotlights City Lures

OCEAN'CITY - A free, 54-page color brochure illustrating accommodations, events and recreational facilities here is now available from Ocean City Vacations, 1300 Ocean Ave. Published by the Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Assn., in cooperation with the city, the booklet includes many pages depicting available hotel, motel, guest house and apartment accommodations along with photographs and listings of recreational and special activities. EVENTS FOR 1982 range from the popular boat parade and bay festival, ‘Night In Venice." July 24 to the Baby Parade Aug. 12. The city also offers several unique contests such as the Annual Hermit Crab Races and Mis* Crustacean Crab Beauty Pageant Aug. 18 and the Miscellaneous Sun Tanning Tournament Aug. 26. Big Band dances, String Band concerts. Boardwalk Art -and Photography Shows, a decoy show. Blueberry Festival, Baseball Card Convention. Antique Auto Show. Flower Show, are among the scores of special events provided by the City. THE OCEAN CITY "Pops" Orchestra will play again at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terr., Sundays through Wednesdays, July 4 through Sept. 8. The group is directed by Frank Ruggieri, who will be back for his 54th season on the Pier. The Sunday concert is free. Qn Thursdays, band leader William Sackett and his combo will provide dance music at the Pier through July and August.
