CAPE MAY — The Greater Cape May Little League is seeking donations to help carry on its activities this season The league encompasses Cape May, West Cape May, Cape May Point and Lower Township. There are six teams in the league with 15 players on each team, and on Saturdays there is a “minor league" group of 40 children. About 60 girls participate in a
four-team girls’ softball league.
IN ALL, the program provides adult-supervised ac-
tivity for 190 children for three months.

He wrestled on the varsity team and is now taking part in track. • • • THE MIDDLE TWP. HIGH SCHOOL Cheerleaders won first place halftime division for Pom Pom Routine at the South Jersey Cheerleading Championships, last month At Wildwood CathoUc High School. The judges were from the Philadelphia Eagle Liberty Belle Cheerleaders. The routine was choreographed by Devo Monica Zane, the panther mascot. The captains are Kathy Sturm and co-capt Barb Ballinghoff. Seniors are: Tracy Sinkway, Darlene Adens. Juniors: Sue Adamcyk, Barb Lighty, Monica Zane and Ovetta Saunders. Sophomores: Becky Senior. Kelly Deeney and Sharon Watkins. Freshmen: Debby Tod. Sally Pfeiffer. Doreen Marriner. MIDDLE TWP. WAS THE ONLY squad to score 100% on inspection. They were commended for their personal appearance and poise. Kathy Sturm and Tracy Sinkway were away on the senior trip, so Ovetta Saunders, a football cheerleader, joined them in their routine. v * These girls attended Penn State University Cheerleading Clinic in December. Several girls also attended a week-long camp at Penn State in July and will also attend this-summer. The squad is coached by Denise Rogers, who is on the staff of the Universal Cheerleaders Assoc, and is camp manager for the northeast Region, working on college campuses this summer. - • • • AROUND THE COLLEGES: Neal Chase and Jay Erkert are home on break from Wesley College in Delaware. Neal pitched for the baseball team. He is taking a para legal course. Jay is transferring to Glassboro next year. Jimmy Killian is playing baseball for the Lafayette team as an outfielder and first baseman.
