For Candidates N. CAPE MAY - Candidates Night will be held at the monthly meeting of the Lower Township Republican Chib at 1602 Scott Ave. 8 p.m. May 6.

Mechanic St., 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, May 21. All senior citizen artists — amateur and professional — are invited to display their paintings, sketchings and graphic works. This year’s exhibition will include examples of sculpture and woodcarving. However, these art forms will not be entered in*

the judging.

COMPLETED ENTRY forms should be mailed to the Office on Aging as soon as possible. Late entries will be accepted on the morning of the exhibit. Winners of the county contest will become eligible to enter the state-sponsored exhibition and contest at the New Jersey State Museum in July. The first place winner in last year’s cotinty contest was J. Anton Miller of Cape May, whose watercolor, Non-Olympic Skaters, also won second prize in the professional class in the statewide contest and was on display at Morven, the governor's mansion.

IN MEMORIUM. Grace Hergelroth, mother of Edward Hergelroth, artist and former artist-in-residence at the Cape May County Art League. Mrs. Hergelroth lived at the League while son “Ned” was there, then moving on to Cape Neddick, Maine. Mrs. Hergelroth, who was 95, was given a memorial service by the Rev.
