THE ANNUAL spring guessing game is over on who will be the headliners at Cozy Morley'a Club Avalon. This year’s picks are Julius LaRosa and Julie DeJohn. However, it won’t be the first appearance for LaRosa at the Avalon, as local agent Eddie Suez booked him there for a week during the year when Arthur Godfrey fired him on national tv. The celebrity of this unprecedented incident not only drew crowds to Club Avalon but filled other Anglesea clubs with the overflow. LaRosa will appear all season. • • • ONE OF THE most popular and best operated center island niteries has always been John and Ida Rizio’s Oasis Club. It is reminiscent of London’s Talk of the Town Club and has over 30 crystal chandeliers. The Oasis is a longtime favorite of French Canadians in particular. The good news is that construction will begin soon if all goes well and the red tape is unravelled on another Rizio night spot at 3605 Pacific Ave. This is the Schellenger Ave. corner directly opposite the Oasis Club. The Planning Board has granted preliminary and final site plan approval subject to plan revisions and conditions, according to secretary Patricia G. Brady. OASIS DOORMAN silver haired Dave Snyder will soon be back in action, tan and fit after a Florida r vacation. But this time,' he’s a semi-Hollywood personality. It seems Dave plays a cameo role as a beach weightlifter in the upcoming Robert Hays Wildwood movie. Wine 'N Stuff Inc., Green’s Liquor Store, plans to expand package store facilities at 5301 Pacific Ave. The Seven Seas also plans renovation and expansion at 4601-05 New Jersey Ave.
