Physicki Walking Tours On

CAPE MAY - With the arrival of spring the historic tours of the city are starting anew The century-old Emlen Physick House is again open for tours 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walking tours of the Primary Historic District start at 10 a m. Sundays from the information booth on the Mall. THE PHYSICK Estate tours cover the main house that contains the Victorian

museum, the Carriage' House that pre-dates the large house, and small barn with its antique tool display and the 8-1/2 acre grounds Tours start on the porch of the big house approximately every 30 minutes and take roughly an hour and a quarter to view the collection of 19th Century furniture, artifacts, costumes and toys. THE WALKING tours take about one and one half hours and Stroll through

the tree-lined streets in the center of Cape May. There is one tour only 10 a m., each Sunday from the information booth on the Mall. No advance reservations are necessary for either tour. This schedule will be good until late May, when more tours will be added. All proceeds go to the continuing restoration, operation and maintenance of the Physick. Estate as a community and cultural center.

Art Show, Sale May l' COURT HOUSE - The Parents’ Association of the County Schools for Special Services will sponsor a gala art show and auction 8 p.m. Saturday, May 1 at the schools on Crest Haven Road. Preview showing of the art work will be 7 to 8 p.m.

The schools are for children who are mentally, 'physically or emotionally handicapped. Proceeds will benefit the fund to provide special equipment for the playground at the new school. Tickets will be available at the door.

COURT HOUSE - Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital joins with hospitals across the country in celebrating National Hospital Week May 9-15. This special observance is built around the theme slogan "You’ve got a Friend in the Hospital.” "We feel the 1982 National Hospital Week theme reflects the role of our

hospital and its staff as friends in helping county residents stay healthy," said William H. Waldron 111, hospital administrator. The hospital will celebrate’ this week with a poster contest for 7th and 8th grades and with flyers and tray tents telling' patients and visitors to ‘ Burdette Tomlin about this '’special week.
