2-Man Art Show Set

CAPE MAY - A twoman show of paintings will open with a reception at the galleries of the County Art League, 1050 Washington St., 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8. The reception will continue until 9:30 p.m. The show Will continue through Wednesday, May 26. The oils on view will offer a contrast both in painting styles and in subject matter. JOHN RUTHERFORD. Jr., of an oltKSpe^May family, wilK exhibit 'bis marine paintings. A selftaught paintW, he is also well known as^a-published poet. ; ’•

Dr. Norman Rutt, now residing in the county, will exhibit his paintings of the American Southwest. A former professor of mathematics at Northwestem University and Louisiana State University, he took up painting as a side interest at the Provincetown School of Art. He

has held one-man shows in California. For further information call the League at 884-8628 11 a m.-4 p.m., Tuesdays

through Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. The exhibit may be visited during these hours as well as on opening night.
