FIRST TULIP Queen Heather O’Neal was presented with a beautiful gift at her iftstallatiqn ceremony on the Mall, il 14K gold chain with an original tupil charm handmade by Patricia Jackson, who maintains a unique shop on Carpenter's La. Needless to say, the gift to the Tulip Queen was timely, just celebrated her ninth birthday.

KINDNESS IS a precious habit and it happened on the Mall during the Tulip Festival activities. Margaret Anderson of the Royal Pizza, just across fr6m the band and committee stand, came over to offer her treat to anyone who was thirsty. The Tulip Committee was so appreciative, it was just what eveyone needed—iced tea and real cold soda. That’s being neighborly! DEPUTY MAYOR Adrian Capehart presided at the recent Mayor's Advisory Committee meeting, telling all that the City of Cape May has just purchased five portable toilets to be placed in the Bandstand area, on Ocean St. near Carpenter’s La., on the promenade near the playland, one on Bank St. at the Parking Lot on the Welcome Center, and one on Poverty Beach. They will ail be petroled 24 hours a day, and more than one will be permanent after the summer season. Now that the clock which once graced the Mall has moved with its owner, the Cape May Savings and Loan, to its new Jackson St. location, Steve PeckiconiN says "how about a clock with perhaps a thermometer too on the Mall where everyone can see — Cool Cape May and the time too!"

It’s service with a smile and then some...that’s what you get when dealing with Cynthia Buck of Cape May City Hall...

BUZZIE MOGCK will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Mayor’s Advisory Group. He's the city’s beachport superintendent and will answer all questions relating to any beach matters. Recent guest speaker was John Dollinger, the ci-

ty tax assessor, who spoke not only on assessments, but explained the current revaluation procedures underway here. • 6 • GET WELL soon tp Frank Beck, city employee who recently had a serious accident while working on a high ladder in the new library. Frank is now at home and so many wishing him so many good wishes. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Anita Maziarczky (my darling daughter).
