CARMAN MONDELLI, who was with the ferry line for 13 years, has a neat idea. He would like the powers-that-be to present the Mario Lanza Museum in South Philly a section of the local open air trolley car tract. The Crest resident recalls the days when Lanza was a conductor on the line. Bing Dipeppe of the Crest Public Works Dept, saved a track section for possible use in this fashion. Dipeppe would like to thank his many friends for their concern during* his recent hospitalizatiorf after a freak accident. During his Wildwood summers, Mario Lanza first tried out his lungs at Ruaao'a Restaurant, thus making this spot a historical landmertr^aml seamark. Cuirently i\ local libraries! the Ray Strait and TerrV Robhrton book, Lanza: Tragic Life, features many photos and mentions of the Wildwpod. In the works for the not-too-distant future is a movie depicting the singer’s life.

We bet they’ll love Wildwood as much as they love New York. He’s also bringing in eight bartenders from the Univ. of Syracuse. The first arrival is Dan Currie of Mt. Laurel. As long as we can remember, Wildwood has been the favored resort of collegiate America. At one time, it seemed as though Davis Promoted COURT HOUSE - Gerald Davis, son of Virginia Wakefield of 123 S. EARL OSTRANDER is lining up a bonanza of conventions for the Wildwoods. He has just inked the Eastern Star for their first Wildwood conclaves in May of 1963 and 1964. Just back from Virginia Beach, Ostrander nabbed the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America for both 1963 and 1984. With members as far as Canada, they will require upwards of 5,000 rooms, In addition, he persuaded the huge Mid-Atlantic Shrine conclave to take both 1983 and 1964 dates in Wildwood. As if that isn’t enough, he expects to announce shortly the acquisition of the Knights of Columbus convention. At this rate, per season and per capita, Wildwpod may soon outclass casino city in prestigious conventions.
