MARGATE - A challenge offered last year is still open in the Outdoor Writers Bluefish Championship. the prelude to the $50,000 Citizen United Bank NA World Record Bluefish Tournament July 17 at Captain Andy’s Marina here. Last year, WPVI TV Channel 6 sportscaster Don Tollefson defeated the outdoor writers who judged the main event. Tollefson swept the writers' award with a 13 pound, 4 ounce I bluefish caught on the Bobbi C, captained by A1 Ciardi. It was the biggest

bluefish ever caught in the

writers’ tournament. MIKE SHEPHERD of

the Atlantic City Press was second with a 13 pounder caught on the Fish 'N Fun skippered by Ron Rookstool. Third went to Len Kucinski of the Allentown, Pa. Morning Call with a 12-13 blue caught on the Venessa skippered by Jerry Brown. Ben Callaway of the Philadelphia Inquirer was fourth with a 12-12 blue on the Pipe Dream, captained

SEA ISLE CITY - Patrick Lynch won a second place medal at the Northeast Regional Wrestling championships held at Lafayette College, Eastern Pa. The two day tourney was a double elimination. Patrick wrestled in the 9

and 10 year-old midget division 85 lb. weight class. PATRICK DICISIONED his first opponent 13-3, then lost his 2nd match 5-6, coming back to pin his 3rd man, bringing him to the finals, where he defeated his opponent 13-4.
