By Jacob Schaad Jr. SEA ISLE CITY - A big birthday bash begins here on Saturday and will continue until summer's last candle flickers to darkness. The occasion is the 100th anniversary of Sea Isle City, founded by Charles K. Landis who was seeking to build a “Venice of America” in his home state. Kicking off the summer long celebration will be a large parade featuring more than 80 bands and state and national dignitaries. With a break from the weathermen, parade planners are expecting 40,000 spectators for the event. Concurrent with the opening celebration, making its debut will

be a new song, “Smile — You’re In Sea Isle City,” written by Eddie Valentine Deane of Wildwood Crest. Deane is a professional songwriter whose songs have been sung by 'Such stars as Bing Crosby and Ray Bolger. Featured in the parade will be the Palmyra String Band,-, the Wildwood String Band, making its first appearance in new uniforms, the State champion American Legion band and the Bonsai Blues Marching Band. The parade had been scheduled for last Saturday, but rain forced its postponement until 2 p.m. this Saturday (May 29). Rain did not interfere with the centennial choir concert that was held at the
