Atlantic County and on' Saturday, the Express went up against Hamilton Township in the rain. The lead was taken very early by our local team and the final s^pre was 7-1. THE FINAL rpund on Sunday pitted the local team against Galloway Township. Despite a slippery field and a real case of playoff nerves, the Express fell into its passing, blocking, and challenging form that has become its trademark, winning 5-1. Following the game, the league referee spoke to Express coaches, Ken Kirsch and Bob Edwards on the superb execution of moves by the local players.

Centennial Run june 5
The Vineland to Sea Isle City Centennial Run will be Saturday, starting at 6:30' a.m. in Vineland. The Race, to benefit The Sea Isle City Historical Museum,, will include marathon runners, relay runners and a bicycle rate — and is run in cooperation with the Runaway Athletes Club of Ocean City, The Vineland Mayor’s Office of Special Events and The Sea Isle City Centennial Committee THE 35-MILE course will be covered by the Vineland and Sea Isle City police
dept., State Police and area Rescue Squads Entrants will receive a Sea Isle City Centennial T-Shirt and be . eligible for a drawing for a weekend vacation at- Sea Isle Inn. and dinner at the . Deauville Inn. Many of the runners have obtained sponsors who will pay so many dollars a mile, with the funds going to the new Sea Isle City Historical Museum. N. CAPE MAY - The Lower Township Recreation Department will be giving Swimming Lessons 9:30-11:30 a m. at the Swimming Pool here, starting Monday, July 12. There will be classes for beginners, advanced beginners, and intermediates. There will be a charge for the lessons, which will be held Monday thru Friday for three weeks. THESE LESSONS are
open to Lower Township Residents only, anavmje participants must be 5 years of age or older by June 1. The first session will run July 12-30, and the second session Aug. 2-30. Preregistration and prepayment are required. Anyone interested in lessons should contact the Recreation Center, 9 a m.-3 p.m. Monday through Fri-

Hockey Champs
SEA ISLE CITY - The Pee Wee Street Hockey season concluded May 17 with the playing of the league's first annaul allstar game. An all-star team directed by the league's assistant coaches tied an all-star team directed by the head coaches 4-4. THE 1982 season was successful, with three teams, the Flyers, Bruins and Rangers, playing an eight-game schedule, The final results of the regular season are:

The Lady Panthers of Middle Twp. maintained their winning ways by defeating Delran 6-4 in eight innings Soffe scored the winning run on a bung single by Kathy Bannon. Betay King pitched the victory. Her record is now 16-3. The tern record is 17-3 and the semi-final of the State Tournament. The male Panthers still having troubles winning, lost to Ocean City In a CAL game 9-5. Middle’s season record is 9^ 10-1 overall and 9-6-1 in the conference. In the CAL track meet at Middle's Memorial Field. Ocean City won the team chamionship, but Middle had two individual winders. Tim Saddler won the 400-meter run in record time and Richie Platt set a new record by clearing 6 ft. 4 in. in the high jump. John Dice of Ocean City won two firsts in the long jump and the discus and Mike Stockley won the shot put and Tim Flukey the Javelin for Ocean City. The Little League Baseball complex at Goshen Rd. in Court House was recently dedicated Shollo Rasmussen, president of the league, served as Master of Ceremonies and introduced Mayor Sam DeVico after Rev. Wilbur Hoffman gave the blessing. Twp Committeewoman Pat Peterson spoke in praise of Gregg Arnold, recreation director. . Twp. Committedman Mike Veil also spok§^-as, did Barbara Bertel, .Grants CoordinaWr for Middle Twp. Bruce Betteroff and Bob Rush of the Greenlands commission were also introduced.
