Their sister was Elisabeth (Betts) Cloud who married Dr. Harlan Cloud when he was a student at Jefferson Medical College in Phila. and Barbara (Bobby, sometimes Bobolink) resulted The author has worked for 27 years as Fashion Editor for the Press travelling to fashion showings all over the country. She also has the exciting job of interviewing all visiting celebrities. HER SISTER. Betty Joyce Goldberg shares her talent and until recently wrote for the Union town Herald and Standard.. Barbara spends her July vacations here staying at the Lark with her 11-year old son Drew Harlan Cloud who loves the swimming pool! Their spare time is spent with the Owens and Aunt Dot. Barbara’s column indicates that she can’t wait to get back despite all the changes she’s observed over the last 30 years.

COURT HOUSE - Local resident James Killian has completed the season as a member of the Lafayette College baseball team. He is a first basemanoutfielder.

NEW PAVILION is constructed by volunteers at Sea Isle city’a Dealy Field recreational area. Materials and financial support were’donated by Sea Isle City Rotary Club. Pavilion will house picnic tables. Woman on MUA COURT HOUSE - Local attorney Carmen Alvarez last week became the first woman to be appointed to the county Municipal Utilities Authority. One of three women nominated for the position - others being environmentalist Ruth Fisher and Avalon Council president Rachel Sloan - Ms. Alvarez will fill the unexpired term of former member Robert Anzelone, who resigned after the freeholders opted not to reappoint authority chairman John Vinci. Her term will expire in February. The appointment was approved 3-2 by the freeholders Gerald Thornton, William Sturm and Jack Bittner voting for; Anthony Catanoso and Ralph Evans casting against. k

Traffic Detoured COURT HOUSE - Traffic being detoured south on Rt. 9 here while a state program to Widen the roadway continues should be back to normal within the next three weeks . While culverts are being installed traffic is being detoured at the intersection of Rt. 9 ans tone Harbor Blvd. The entire highway rewidening here isn’t expected to be completed until after November.
