CAPE MAY — The annual test for lifeguard aspirants will begin 10 a m. June 19 on the beach at lifeguard headquarters. Grant and the beach. According to Harry •'Buz" Mogck. beachfront superintendent, this year's Cape May Beach Patrol test has.been expanded. Included will be a 500 yds. ocean swim. 1,000 ft. buoy can run thru the surf, lifeboat handling in the

surf, and a half-mile beach run. MOGCK SAID there are more than 20 individuals trying out for lhe nine openings on this ye/r’s patrol. He noted that three or four of the openings are due to 4he opening for the first time this year of the Poverty Beach stretch at the western end of the town. Average years of service of the '82 patrol is about six years, according to Mogck.
