Centennial Advertising Tempest

SEA ISLE CITY - It may not rank with the 100-year storms about which coastal communities are warned, but the city’s centennial observance is at the eye of at least a minor tempest. Centennial Chairman Richard Alliger, in a letter, has accused former public relations director Al Zurawski of “attempting to duplicate" the efforts of the Centennial Committee by publishing a competing publication, “MANY CALLS from the business community,” Alliger wrote Zurawski, "concerned an apparent 'misunderstanding' that he was selling advertising for the 'official' Centennial Year Book. "We ask that you represent whatever your
