Dining Guide

It’s official! It’s not summer! You can believe it from the balmy air, the blooming gardens and the beautiful girls who seem to be everywhere. (Where are ihey during the wintertime?) This is one of the great harvest weeks. Keep a watch of the roadside stands. This past Monday we saw the sun reach its highest point in the sky at noon which made the noon shadows the shortest they ever get. Such direct sunlight heats up the earth’s surface, and much of this heat is retained over night. Thus we have our hottest weather throughout late June and July, even after the sun begins to get a little lower in the sky each day at noon, and the points of sunrise and sunset creep slowly southward, and the daylight hours grdw fewer. As June closes we find ourselves thinking about what s coming up — Independence Day and its accompanying celebrations with fireworks. (More about this in inext week’s Time Out.) \ As for now, we’ve still got June, and here’s a Samsung of some places to go that make the season so delightful: UNCLE BILL’S PANCAKE PLACES. Uncle Bill's pancake House and Family Restaurants have three distinctive locations, each serving the tastiest food imaginable^ Now open at'Beach Ave. & Perry, Cape May; 32nd & Dune Drive. Avalon; and 306 96th Street, Stone Harbor, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner at Uncle Bill’s from early morn till nightime. The help are a special breed of people who seem to enjoy serving you quickly and courteously, no matter when you come. Of course, the pancakes are extraordinary. We can say that without boasting! You’ll love ’em' NIGHTTIME AT THe(wILDWQOD TWIN DRIVE-IN. The Wildwood Twin DriV^Io is ohe of the great family entertainment bargains you^e/going to find at the seashore. There’s fun f6r alUtf store when you load the family and all head for the Wildwood Drive-In. There's always great shows and all the fun of seeing adventures, thrillers and musicals will give you a great
