start from square one, tear down the old building and erect their own dream house. They* consulted books of plans, came across an idea and handed it over to their architect. From the architect's drawings emerged a two story, six sided house with a wraparound deck. On the second floor are three.bedrooms, two baths, livinghnd dining rooms. Downstairs are large family and playrooms, a third bath, a utility room and garage. Distinquishing the house is its open space with large beamed Cathedral ceilings. i--€6nstruction began in September 1977 and, somewhat miraculously, the Dwyers were in their new home by Christmas Eve. "My wife was determined to be in by Christmas, so we made it," Dwyer said. "We even decorated a tree there. Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer have the best of both worlds in their house of Shangri Lay They reside in the quiet of the Cape Maj\ County countryside, but from their deck\ and windows they are reminded of Qltr seashore as boats ply their courses through the canal between the Delaware River and the Atlantic Ocean. When Dwyer isn’t practicing Blackstone With the Corino and Dwyer law firm in Wildwood, he spends much of his time improving what already is an eye opening abode. He has done considerable landscaping himSelf and currently is completing the construction of a walkway. Next on the agenda is a swimming pool. Dwyer has deep roots in Cape May County. His father is a native of Cape May City
and still lives there. His grandfather, Patrick, built the greens of the old Cape May Golf Course which was situated partly on the site of what is now the city’s elementary school. The attorney, who spends some of his spare time as a softball pitcher for Kramer Beverage . currently in first place
in the Cape May Softball League, was a lifeguard in the city for seven years. It was while protecting peoples’ lives he met his wife who was a waitress at Henri’s Restaurant. She now is a social worker for the Lower Township school system. Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer have three children, Patrick, 10, Denise, eight, and
