, By JacobSchaad Jr. WILDWOOD CREST - For a couple who lived in a trailer for five years, Dr. and Mrs. Robert I. Salasin have come a long way in their 19 years of marriage. Dr. Salasin, his wife, Bonnie, and their six daughters now reside in a spacious 11 room French Colonial house at 6012 Pacific Avenue, Wildwood Crest. It is the seventh residence in less than two decades for the Salasins who have lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado and at West Point. Th^y have no plans to move again. Their present hpuse satisfies them beyond expectatioris. ' It was by circumstance rather than oy choice that the .surgeon and his wife traveled about so frequently during their married life. After meeting at a Rio Grande drug store\vhere they both worked while in high scfoopl, they upe married in the doctor’s soohomore y&ir in college. The couple rePded in a nearby trailer while Dr. SalasiMfinished his education at Villanova and^at Jefferson Medical College. FROM PHILADELPHIA THEY moved to Newport News, Va. where Dr. Salasin served his one year internship and next to Aurora, Colorado, scene of his residency at an Army hospital. Their military life continued at West Point, N.Y. where Dr. Salasin was named chief of surgery. His military obligations com-

pleted, Dr. Salasin then moved back to familiar territory in Wildwood four years ago, setUing with his family in a house about 30 blocks from the present residence. Tragedy, meanwhile, struck the Salasin family when the doctor’s mother, Lila, was killed in an automobile accident four years ago>She and her husband, Dr. Robert G. Salaiin, had occupied the current residence and two years after her death it Was acquired by their son and daughter-in-law. The five bedroom house has some local historical value. It was built in the 1920’s by Berber Crane who married into the Baker family which played a role in the establishment and development of the Wildwoods. His sister-in-law, Mary Baker, subsequently resided in the house. The Salasins are the fifth owners. THE HOUSE IS spacious and airy and features high ceilings. Part of the large living room serves as a music room for their 18-year-old daughter, Kelly, a sophomore at St. Joseph’s College. It is graced by a baby grand piano which their daughter plays. Downstairs in their recreation room an inoperable player piano, obtained in Colorado, stands as a unique museum piece. Next to thejiving room are the foyer and dining room while on its other side is a
