LEMON BUTTER 3 lemons 2 cups sugar <eggs Butter (size of large egg) Grate rind 0/one lemon. Add juice of three lemons, sugUr and butter. Put all in pan. add well beaten egg yolks, put on stove and let come to boil. Have egg Whita well beaten. Add beaten egg whites to the lemon mixture, beating constantly. Remove as soon as the egg whites are mixed. Set to cool. What would a picnic be without a good potato salad and devilled egg* POTATO SALAD 6 hard cooked eggs 6 medium potatoes, cooked and diced 1/2 teaspoon onion salt 3/4 cup mayonnaise I teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper Cook the eggs to hard boil, cool and shell. Peel and cook potatoes. Let cool until you are able to die# them. MLx all the ingredients together except the eggs. Add three of the diced eggs. Mix well. Sprinkle the remaining eggs on top of the salad. For the drink which 1 serve which is mostly ice tea or lemonade 1 make up the drink as directed. Pour into ice cube trays. When ready empty the ice cubes into the picnic jug and you will not have a diluted drink by the time you get to the picnic. Along with fresh fruit, a jar of homemade pickles, rolls and Brownies and the picnic is complete.

1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) 2 squares baking chocolate 2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt Melt chocolate and butter. Add sugar and Pour to well beaten eggs. Stir until well mixed, add salt and vanilla and nuts. Finally stir iitibutter and melted chocolate. Pour into a well greased and Poured pan.
