CONGRATULATIONS to Joe Barker of Pennywise who is in his 51st year publishing the unique summer paperlet — one end i s on Cape May and the other about New Hope, Pa. Joe's associate of 33 years is I,ouiR Pron who previously was an accountant and now is "bill collector and chief mate," but Lou says it doesn’t seem like 33 years at all. Asked about retirement, he says Joe never thinks of it.

IT’S SAD but all good things come to an end. Helen Diltlay, artist-in-residence at the Cape May County Art League housed in the Carriage House on the Physick Estate, is resigning her position to be able to spend more time painting — something she hasn’t been able to do with all the pressures of being an artist-in-residence. SHE WILL continue to make her home here in Cape May. She will still lend a hand to the league. A salute to Helen Dllday, for all her devotion and hard work -- she’s added much to make the League what it is today.
